GRA's Federal Labor Relations Assistance is in Demand

Demand for GRA's Labor Relations consulting and training support continues with an ever-growing list of Federal customers in 2010.  In addition to on-going LR projects in several agencies, including components of the Departments of Homeland Security and Treasury, GRA recently was awarded contracts with an agency of the Department of Agriculture as well as small independent agencies.   GRA also won the recompetition of a contract and will continue to assist the U.S. Coast Guard in negotiation of a national master level agreement which will consolidate more than 20 collective bargaining agreements.   Workload has expanded, in part, due to Executive Order 13522 - Creating Labor Management Forums to Improve Delivery of Government Services. 

GRA's nationally recognized LR trainers are equally busy -- presenting sessions on various aspects of Federal sector bargaining throughout the goverenment.   Just a sampling of these includes courses for the Department of Transportation, Department of the Navy, Social Security Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Energy,  Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the U.S. Census, several VA Medical Centers, and an agency of the District of Columbia government.

Associates Don Rider and David Orr were featured presenters at the annual conference of the Society for Federal Labor and Employee Relations Professionals (SFLERP) in April.   Don Rider and Robert Gilson made four presentations at the Defense Employee and Labor Relations Symposium in Tampa, Florida in May.

GRA's popular open enrollment program will offer Advanced Bargaining Training: Focus on Negotiability in May, and Win-Win Negotiations and Consensus Building in June.  Both of these courses will be presented in Arlington, VA, but others sessions are being planned for other locations throughout the U.S.
